Música punk

Olá, galera!
Hoje, vou publicar a letra de uma música que me despertou para um novo estilo musical - quer dizer, pra mim é novo, mas bandas de punk rock existem há muuuitos anos! Há alguns anos, descobri a cantora Siouxsie Sioux através de seu disco solo mas, até pouco tempo, nunca ouvira sua banda principal, a Siouxsie and the Banshees. Fui atrás de músicas da banda, e simplesmente me apaixonei pelo estilo rock meio glam meio gótico - ainda mais depois que vi o show "Nocturne", que é excelente.
Então, a letra que postarei hoje é da música que abre o show "Nocturne", "Israel". A música fala das crianças israelenses na noite de Natal e do sofrimento delas por causa da eterna "jihad" (guerra santa) que impera na região do Oriente Médio. Tendo sido esta a primeira música que ouvi da banda, ela tem um certo significado especial pra mim.
Bem, chega de papo! Curtam a letra e, se possível, escutem-na! Siouxsie and the Banshees está entre minhas bandas favoritas (deêm uma olhada na nova página que fiz, "About the author" - link na barra lateral do blog), e, possivelmente, entrará na sua lista também!
